Mar. 7: CHILLS #6 – Becca Israel – Litigating at the Department of Justice: An Inside Look

winelaws2Sign up for the sixth CHILLS session, Friday, March 7 from 3:30-5pm in Furman Hall, Room 430, for public interest career and academic advice, a morale boost, camaraderie, and fun.

Lauren Burke, an energetic and inspiring NYU Law ’09 alumna, Founder of Atlas: DIY, Developing Immigrant Youth, and PILC Practitioner-in-Residence, will be hosting CHILLS every Friday. Each week CHILLS will offer wine and cheese and a chance to chat with Lauren and a rotating group of NYU Law graduates who are now public interest practitioners.

Since graduating NYU Law in 2009, Becca spent 4 years as a trial attorney at the Department of Justice, Tax Division, and she’s now clerking for the Honorable Richard G. Stearns in the District of Massachusetts. She is passionate about feminism, economic justice, public service, and transparency. She’s in the process of figuring out what her next career steps will be.
