Mr. David Kappos, a partner at Cravath and former Under Secretary of Commerce and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), will give a lecture on “Article 35 of the Japanese Patent Law — Is It Time for a Change?” (Note: Article 35 is a provision on employees’ invention.), and discuss the Japanese patent law and the AIA with NYU Law Professor Rochelle Dreyfuss.
