Hear from faculty and alumni on how to map your academic and professional path. The program will begin with six concurrent faculty panels which will explain in depth the six different professional pathways. Faculty members will discuss choosing classes
and planning the sequence of your academic career. The pathway panels are; Civil Litigation, Criminal Practice, Global Legal Practice, Intellectual Property and Information Law, Law and Business, and Tax.
Immediately following the panels, there will be “table talks” throughout the second floor of Vanderbilt Hall at which alumni and faculty will chat with students regarding a wide variety of practice areas. Invited alumni and faculty are prepared to share their experience and offer advice from the standpoint of a practitioner. Students can look forward to learning what a particular practice entails on a day-to-day basis, skills and attributes necessary for success in that practice area, rewards and challenges inherent in that field, and how to best prepare to enter the practice area.
