Karen Ross, a member of the Graduate Lawyering faculty, is available for individual 20-minute appointments every Wednesday from 10-11 a.m. (Furman Hall Room 330) or 2-3 p.m. (Vanderbilt Hall Room 109).
Appointments are recommended and receive priority, but walk-ins are also welcome. Please sign up in OGA, Furman Hall Room 340.
Professor Ross will assist students in the following areas:
- Improving grammar, writing and study skills.
- Developing strategies for approaching work assignments that arise in the law school experience.
- Reviewing the general structure of writing assignments such as reaction or seminar papers. Papers will not be read in advance, but feel free to bring a paper or writing sample to the session for comments on structure, style, and organization.
If you are having difficulty in a specific subject area, a subject tutor (upper-level JD student) may be available to assist you. Note, however, that requests for tutors in advanced courses may be difficult to fulfill. Information about the tutoring program and a form to request a tutor are posted here.
