NYU Law Office of Global Programs is pleased to announce that there will be a second application period opening for the Spring 2015 iteration of NYU Law in Paris.

Students interested in applying to the NYU Law in Paris program are encouraged to contact Faculty Program Director Franco Ferrari  should they wish to hear more about the unique curriculum opportunities offered by NYU Law in Paris and the program’s partnership with Sciences Po.

NYU Law courses for Spring 2015 include the new International Criminal Justice course taught by Judge Theodor Meron, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, and Charles L. Denison Professor of Law Emeritus and Judicial Fellow at NYU Law. The program also features the EU Regulatory Clinic, which exposes students to the inner workings of the European Union and supplements seminar coursework with a trip to Brussels, the seat of the European Commission.

In addition to NYU Law courses, students enrolled in the Paris program can take up to three courses at Sciences Po, offering students the opportunity to experience the French legal education system and interact with students and faculty from the region.

In Spring 2015, the program will be held in the brand-new NYU Paris Academic Center facility. Students will benefit from the Academic Center’s location in downtown Paris, within walking distance to Sciences Po and many of Paris’ most important sites. For more information about both academic and extracurricular opportunities available to students in Paris, please visit the NYU Law in Paris program website. Interested students should also visit the Life at NYU Law blog, where student blogger Harold Robinson ’14 writes about his semester in Paris.

The application period will re-open on Friday, August 29, 2014 and remain open until Sunday, September 7, 2014. Successful applicants will receive nominations to participate in the Paris program or to be placed on a wait-list by Friday, September 19, 2014.  Final student decisions will be due by October 1, 2014.

All interested 2015 2L or 3L students, regardless of past admission status or application history, are encouraged to apply. Second-round applications will be evaluated independently of any prior application.

Should you have any questions about NYU Law in Paris, or the upcoming application cycle, please feel free to drop by the Office of Global Programs (Furman 350) or email us at law.globalstudents@nyu.edu.
