Who: 1Ls
When: Wednesday, Sept. 10, 4:10 p.m.
Where: Tishman Auditorium, Vanderbilt Hall
The majority of 1Ls will work a public interest internship the summer after their 1L year. Because most public interest organizations do not pay their student interns, 1Ls in these positions are eligible for a summer stipend through NYU Law.
If you are a 1L who is considering working a public interest internship during Summer 2015 and want to receive summer funding, you must participate in some form in NYU Law’s Annual Public Service Auction. In order to participate in the Public Service Auction, you must attend the informational meeting onWednesday, September 10, at 4:10 p.m. in Tishman Auditorium. During the meeting, 1Ls will learn about how to get involved in the Public Service Auction, an event that raises funds for student summer stipends. This meeting is mandatory for any 1L who is considering receiving a public interest summer internship stipend through NYU Law. The meeting will end in time for students to attend the Student Organization Fair.
Unsure if you need this stipend? Most students do. You should attend this meeting just in case because attendance is mandatory in order to receive summer funding!
If you are unable to attend the September 10 meeting, please e-mail nyupilcauction@gmail.com with the subject line “[1L] Unable to attend meeting” to arrange an alternative meeting date.
