Immigrant Justice Corps’ Supervising Attorney, Maribel Hernández Rivera, will be visiting campus to discuss the country’s first fellowship program dedicated to training immigration lawyers. IJC Justice Fellows will be fully funded for two years of service to poor immigrants in New York City. Ms. Hernández Rivera will discuss this year’s application cycle, and highlight activities law students can get involved in to strengthen their candidacy for the fellowship. She will also provide an update on current immigration reform politics and its implications for lawyers seeking to join the immigration bar.
