ABRA re-opens Friday, October 31, 2014. This is an opportunity for you to adjust your spring 2015 schedule. Please remember that students may not count more than eight credits (in their second and third years combined) of courses taught by certain adjunct faculty towards their degree. While you may take more than eight adjunct credits, only eight credits can count toward graduation requirements. If you take more than eight adjunct credits, you will have to compensate by taking additional course credits with full-time professors. In exceptional circumstances, a student who has pursued a Professional Pathway, may be allowed to take up to 12 adjunct credits without compensating.
Adjunct courses included in the cap are indicated with an “A” footnote in the Schedule of Classes.
Keep in mind, not all adjunct-taught courses are counted toward the maximum cap of eight adjunct credits. For example, Clinical courses do not count towards the adjunct cap. Directed Research, Writing Credits, and non-law courses do count towards the adjunct cap.
