The New York University School of Law Office of Development and Alumni Relations invites you to attend the 2014 Law Alumni Association (LAA) Annual Fall Conference titled, “Wrongful Convictions.” The conference, co-sponsored by the Law Alumni Association and the Review of Law & Social Change, will take place on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall, located at 40 Washington Square South. A reception will immediately follow the lecture. Two Continuing Legal Education credits will be available to attendees.

This year’s conference will examine the system-wide issue of wrongful convictions.

Rachel Barkow, Segal Family Professor of Regulatory Law and Policy and the Faculty Director of the Center on the Administration of Criminal Law will moderate the conference.  Our expert panelists include Jennifer E. Laurin, Professor of law, University of Texas School of Law; Peter Neufeld ’75 and Barry Scheck, co-founders and co-directors of the Innocence Project; Ronald S. Sullivan Jr., Criminal Justice Institute at Harvard; and Ken Thompson ’92, Brooklyn District Attorney.
