Equal Justice Works Fellowships for 2Ls and 3Ls Info Session
Friday, April 10, 2015 | 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM
Smart Classroom 214, Furman Hall
Any 2L or 3L who hopes to work in direct civil legal services after graduation is strongly encouraged to attend an information session about two post-graduate fellowships offered by Equal Justice Works: the Equal Justice Works Fellowship (“EJW”) and the Equal Justice Works AmeriCorps Fellowship (“AmeriCorps”). The EJW Fellowship (http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/post-grad/equal-justice-works-fellowships) is a two-year project fellowship in which candidates partner with a non-profit organization to design a project and apply to EJW for funding – the application is due in September for work that begins the following summer/fall. The AmeriCorps Fellowship (http://www.equaljusticeworks.org/post-grad/americorps-legal-fellowships/learn-more) is an opportunity for current 3Ls and will have openings, starting THIS fall, to work in civil legal services in areas such as removing barriers to employment and providing legal services to veterans. These positions will be advertised this summer.
Although this session is about post-graduate fellowships, 1Ls are also welcome. Pizza will be provided and we kindly ask that you RSVP at https://law-nyu-csm.symplicity.com/students/index.php?mode=form&id=d006804d49a71f19c4d99074679670b0&s=event&ss=ws.
