The Legislative and Regulatory Process Clinic located in DC places students accepted into the program in legal positions in government agencies for the fall and focuses there and in class work on introduction to and experience in the work of government lawyering. The Clinic also holds a three hour class once a week and includes others programs and events over the course of the semester, including speakers from the world of government and politics in Washington.
The TA would assist Profs. Bauer and Katzen primarily with the development of class reading and materials. The work would begin immediately, and while it involves time for some weeks into the semester, it will be more concentrated in mid to late August through early September. In this first phase, 5 -7 hours a week would be expected, and thereafter as needed, but no more than 1-2 hours a week. The work can be done, of course, from New York.
