Fall OCI is a six week on-campus recruiting program during which employers conduct screening interviews with NYU Law students on campus. The program is administered via CSM (https://law-nyu-csm.symplicity.com/students). For law firms and private sector employers, interviews are assigned through a lottery, based on students’ ranked preferences. ALL public interest and government employers will pre-select their Fall OCI schedules. Students will still bid to interview with all public interest and government employers however, interviewees will be selected by the employer.
Bidding for interviews occurs on a week-by-week basis, so we ask that you monitor the system closely to determine if you would like to bid each week. You can request interviews with employers beginning the Friday two and a half weeks prior to their scheduled interview date. Bidding will close the following Monday, two weeks prior to the employer’s scheduled interview date. Week 1 bidding will open on Friday, August 28.
We recommend that all students who are uncertain of their summer or permanent employment plans register to interview with those employers of interest. In this economy, it is best to cast a wide net and meet with as many employers as possible!
