Tax Notes

TaxTax Analysts recently changed access to their web resources (Tax Notes, Tax Notes Int’l, Worldwide Tax Daily, etc.). Previously, one could access their catalog from our campus without logging in. As of August 17th, they will require you to register personally to get to the articles in any Tax Analysts source.

To sign up, please go to the new URL for TaxNotes: https://ezproxy.library.nyu.edu/login?url=http://www.taxnotes.com

In the blue banner at the top, click on SIGN IN. On the next screen, under SIGN IN, type in your “@nyu.edu email” address and click NEXT.

The next screen is similar, but you will look below the username and password entry boxes to where you see: “NEW NYU Law School Law Library User? REGISTER HERE.” You will need to click on “REGISTER HERE” and enter your information, using your NYU email address. You will be able to specify areas of tax and jurisdictions that you are interested in.

New York Law Journal Alerts

Create your own email alerts to the New York Law Journal, National Law Journal, American Lawyer and several other publications on the Law.com website, the umbrella website for these publications. In the upper right corner click “Register” to create your personal account, making sure to use your nyu email address. Then when you log in to the new account you have created, click on “My Account” in the upper right hand corner. You will see an Email Newsletters tab where you can choose the publications for which you want to receive newletters, and a My Alerts tab, where you can create searches and be notified when new content contains your search terms.

Digital Library on Overdrive

Digital Library on Overdrive made its debut last Spring and it deserves mention at the beginning of this semester. Its content is populated by LexisNexis, both treatises and some primary source material, but its most popular titles are its Study Aids  These digital titles can be “checked out” to a laptop or digital device.
