Trial Advocacy Informational Meeting on Thursday, 9/17; Oral Advocacy Competition 9/22-9/24

Are you interested in honing your litigation skills? Would you like to learn how to conduct a direct and cross examination? How about opening and closing statements? Do you like competing in a team environment? Then Trial Advocacy Society is for you!!!!

Come to our mixer in Golding Lounge this Thursday, September 17, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. to learn more about Trial Advocacy and get details about how to try out for the team, and the tournaments that we’re attending.

On the Trial Advocacy team, you can…

– Improve your public speaking skills

– Learn important trial skills like direct and cross examination

– Learn the Federal Rules of Evidence

– Hang out with awesome people

– Travel to tournaments in New York and DC

– And more!!!

Oral Advocacy Competition

Compete in our intra-school tournament to find NYU’s best trial advocate!

This tournament also serves as the first round of auditions to compete on NYU’s Trial Advocacy Team, and compete against other schools in tournaments across the country.

Be prepared to read and analyze a fact pattern and deliver a five-minute closing statement.

To register, fill out the form on our registration page by Friday, 9/18, at 5:00 p.m.
