There will be an orientation and information session on Wednesday, October 21, from 4:00 to 5:00 PM in Vanderbilt Hall 206 regarding the International Law and Human Rights Fellowship, including its dedicated summer internships.
The International Law and Human Rights Fellowship Program is coordinated by the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (CHRGJ) in cooperation with the Institute for International Law and Justice (IILJ) with the support of the Public Interest Law Center (PILC). Individuals who are current full-time 1L, 2L, LLM and JSD students are eligible to apply. The Fellowship has two major components: a 10-12 week summer internship in 2016 at one of more than 25 important international, regional and local organizations and a post-internship academic research paper. The list of ILHR program internship organizations is expected to include international tribunals (e.g. ICTY, ECCC, STL); UN organizations (e.g., ILC, UNHCR); international, regional and local NGOs in locations as diverse as Bangkok, Beijing, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Dhaka, Jerusalem, Johannesburg, Kampala, London, New Delhi, Ramallah and Windhoek. The ILHR Fellowship application with the list of internships will be available on October 13 on the CHRGJ website (www.chrgj.org). Applications will be due by noon on Wednesday, November 11.

If you are interested in this program and internships, but are not able to attend the October 21 meeting, information is also available as follows:
- There will be an informal meeting for students on Wednesday, October 28, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM in Golding Lounge West in Vanderbilt Hall for interested students to meet with former ILHR Fellows and learn about the Fellowship and program internships.
- Internship reports regarding many of the internship organizations included in the program are available on the PILC website at http://www.law.nyu.edu/publicinterestlawcenter/forstudents/summer-funding. In addition, blog entries about some internship are on CHRGJ’s website at http://chrgj.org/international-law-and-human-rights-fellows-blog/ and lists of former ILHR Fellows with contact information will be available.
