To All Students:
Just like last year, due to fire code capacity restrictions, we will be instituting a guest attendance policy for Fall Ball. While many of you expressed relief because the space was more comfortable and safer by limiting attendance to mostly NYU Law students last year, we also understand the importance of allowing for spouses/significant others to attend.
Although our space limitations prevent us from accommodating a guest for every law student who wishes to attend, we believe that opening up a limited number of spaces on a lottery basis for students who would like to bring a spouse/significant other is a good compromise.
This is how the lottery will work:
- There will be 200 lottery spaces available.
- Students who wish to bring a spouse/significant other must enter the name of that person into the lottery system by 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 25. Since the lottery selection will be final, we ask that you please enter the lottery ONLY if you are certain that your guest will accompany you. Emergencies do happen, so should your guest no longer be able to attend, please let us know right away be emailing studentaffairs@nyu.edu. That will allow us to open your spot to someone on the waitlist who did not get initially selected.
- To enter your spouse or significant other into the lottery, please click here. You must access the link from your NYU email account, as the form will not grant access from non-NYU email accounts or forwarded emails.
- Guests will be selected randomly and we hope to notify students if their guests have been selected by close of business on Monday, October 26. Lottery spaces are non-transferable; your guest’s name will appear on the guest list.
- Guests must be over 18 years of age to be admitted.
If you are planning to attend Fall Ball (with or without a guest) and have not yet submitted your RSVP, please click here. We look forward to a fun evening with you.
