The New York University School of Law Office of Development and Alumni Relations invites you to attend the 2015 Law Alumni Association (LAA) Annual Fall Conference titled, “Marriage Equality.” The conference is co-sponsored by the Law Alumni Association and the Supreme Court Reading Group and will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in Vanderbilt Hall, located at 40 Washington Square South.

Famed litigator Roberta Kaplan, who represented Edith Windsor in the landmark case that overturned the Defense of Marriage Act, United States v. Windsor, will discuss the Court’s recent gay marriage decisions. With Dean Trevor Morrison, Eric M. and Laurie B. Roth Professor of Law, Ms. Kaplan will speak about her recent book, Then Comes Marriage. The book chronicles the origins and development of Edith Windsor’s case as it rose toward the Supreme Court. Copies of the book will be available for sale at a 20% discount at the event.

A reception will immediately follow the lecture. We have applied to make CLE credit available.
