The goal of this course is to develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in Spanish in order to facilitate effective communication between professionals and clients in legal settings.
Special emphasis will be placed on: vocabulary, concepts and structures involved in client meetings; the culture behind the language; common professional practices across Latin America and the US; and learning strategies necessary to acquire a foreign language for professional purposes.
This course is for students at the intermediate high level on the ACTFL proficiency scale.
