Room:                   FH316

Join the Public Interest Law Center and the Bernstein Institute for Human Rights for lunch with Kaoru Okuizumi (JD ’95). Kaoru is the Deputy Chief of the Criminal Law and Judicial Advisory Service at the Office of Rule of Law and Security Institutions of the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, which supports UN field operations implementing their rule of law, justice and corrections mandates. Kaoru’s long and impressive career includes many years at the UN – both in the field and at headquarters – as well as experience working for other IGOs and international tribunals. She is an expert on human rights and judicial reform in post-conflict zones. We are excited to give students interested in international careers the opportunity to talk to Kaoru in an informal setting about her career and to get first-hand career advice and guidance.

Students will also have the opportunity to chat with Rebecca Hamilton, the Deputy Director of the Bernstein Institute for Human Rights. Rebecca will introduce the work of the Bernstein Institute and speak about ways in which students can get involved.

Join us at this exciting event by RSVP via Symplicity! Lunch will be provided.
