The NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights (the Center) is seeking a research assistant for its Migrant Construction in Gulf Labor project, to begin in January/February 2015. The project aims to research, analyze, and document business incentives influencing the recruitment of migrant construction workers in Gulf Arab countries, particularly with regard to the burdensome job placement fees they often pay in their countries of origin.
The Center is seeking a research assistant to participate in two fact-finding missions in spring 2016 (tentatively India in February 2016 and the United Arab Emirates and/or Qatar in April 2016), and to assist the project researcher with related follow-up tasks through June 2016.
