The Global Leadership Skills Series aims to provide LLM students with “soft” skills that will help them become leaders in the workplace and advance their professional development. There will be three installments; each one will be led by a different presenter with experience in the relevant topic.

Leadership Tales – Learning from True Leaders

Presenter Rocco Andriola JD ’82, LLM ’86 will lead this valuable session and will share his experience on how he became a true leader. Mr. Andriola is a Managing Director of Millennium Partners, LP, a $20 billion hedge fund headquartered in New York City. He received his JD and LLM from NYU School of Law, has served as President of the NYU Law Alumni Association, and is now a member of the Board of Trustees at the Law School.

 

Make a Name for Yourself – Personal Branding as a Leadership Tool

Presenter Molly Peckman, Global Director of Legal Talent at Dechert LLP, will lead this interactive presentation. Attendees will learn how to build a professional profile that will make themselves known inside and outside of their organization. The session will have attendees focus on what distinguishes their practice and how to create an effective individual development plan.

 

Leadership Essentials – Developing a framework for future leaders

Presenter Eric Loffswold, Learning and Development Manager at NYU, will lead this hands-on workshop on how to develop a leadership framework. Eric works across the university helping schools, departments, and individuals meet their leadership goals.
