Please join us for a panel to learn about practicing housing law at a legal services non-profit. In the past year, there has been a significant increase in the number of housing attorneys in New York City due to an influx of city money; as such, housing attorneys in NYC are in high demand. In addition to covering the day-to-day practice of a housing legal services attorney, this panel will offer practical advice to 3Ls, and underclassmen, who wish to pursue housing law after graduation – through regular staff attorney hiring and through the Poverty Justice Solutions Fellowship. The panel will include attorneys from the Legal Aid Society, MFY Legal Services, New York Legal Assistance Group, and Manhattan Legal Services. The panel will take place Friday, March 11, at 2:00 PM in FH 120. This event is co-sponsored with Research, Education & Advocacy to Combat Homelessness (REACH). Please RSVP on CSM (search for PILC: Housing Law).
