Join us for the screening of an intimate new documentary featuring the stories of four Palestinian children from the West Bank town of Beit Ummar who have undergone Israeli military detention. The film will be followed by a panel discussion on Israeli military detention of Palestinian children. Speakers include: Brad Parker, international advocacy officer and attorney with Defense for Children International – Palestine; Yazan Meqbil a Leonard Education Organization scholar from the town of Beit Ummar; and Nawal Musleh, a Fellow with the Palestine-Israel program at American Friends Service Committee. This event is part of the No Way to Treat a Child campaign. The campaign, led by Defense for Children International – Palestine and American Friends Service Committee, seeks to challenge Israel’s prolonged military occupation of Palestinians by organizing and supporting an extensive network of people demanding immediate protections for Palestinian children held in Israeli military detention.

Access to this event is by invitation only. Please contact Blythe Hawthorne-Loizeaux at
bhl268@nyu.edu for more details.
