For rising 2Ls and 3LS who may wish to apply to government positions in the Fall, including federal honors programs, come hear a federal government lawyer speak about the hiring process on Monday, April 11 from 12:30 – 2:00 pm in FH 216 . Carrie Syme, a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division and an NYU Law alumna, will discuss applying to and working for DOJ. Carrie will also provide you with a great perspective on what it’s like working in private practice and then making the transition to government.
And, for those of you considering other opportunities in federal, state and local government, particularly for 2LS who may be considering whether to apply for government positions, we will also talk about whether to do so if you will be doing EIW. Gail Zweig of PILC will also share some tips on what you can do to prepare for the fall hiring season before you return to campus in August, and some important dates to keep in mind because, as you may know, some of the hiring by government agencies opens in the summer and begins to close as early as mid-August. Please RSVP on CSM (search for PILC: Thinking Ahead Towards a Career in Government and Government Honors Programs).
