- The deadline to confirm Summer Funding internships is April 1st. This involves a few steps:
- As soon as you line up your internship, go to your Participant Tracker to input the details of the organization, employer contact information, and the dates you plan to work: https://its.law.nyu.edu/pilc/summerfunding/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.AppMain.
- The system will then automatically generate an email to your employer asking them to confirm the detail, and in some cases, complete a Federal Work Study agreement. This will only take a moment for the employer to complete, but it is a good idea to do it early enough so that they have time to do it before April 1st
- Prior to the April 1st deadline you will need to:
- View Financial Aid Tutorial
- Submit FAFSAs
- Send Confirmation Request to Your Summer Employer
- Make Sure your Employer Verifies & Signs Forms
- If you are returning home for the break, make sure that you bring your original identity documents back with you in order to facilitate the Human Resource Department’s process of getting you on the payroll before you start your summer job. Note that no photocopies or facsimiles will be accepted.
- If you need help or guidance with your public interest job search from one of our counselors, the PILC office will be open during its regular hours over the spring break. As always, feel free to call PILC at (212) 998-6686 or stop by our offices to schedule an appointment. You may also direct questions to Pilcgrant@mercury.law.nyu.edu .
