Please note: Attendance is mandatory to apply for a journal!

Representatives from the NYU journals and the Moot Court Board hold a yearly information session for 1L students to explain the mechanics of the annual writing competition from which new journal members are chosen. During this session, current members of each journal and the Moot Court Board will introduce you to their respective programs and offer insight into their selection process. You will leave the information session with valuable information to help you decide whether you want to make a commitment to a journal and how to participate in the competition. The session will also include a discussion about ranking your preferences. Additionally, we will explain the Journal Matching System (JMS — the software that manages the writing competition), registration process, submission schedule, and professional responsibility.

If you have questions before April 5, please contact Carmi Schickler of the NYU Law Review at nyulrevmep@gmail.com.

We look forward to seeing you there.
