LL.M. students should already be aware of the new 50 hour pro bono requirement for admission to the New York State Bar. The full text of the rule and FAQs can be found at www.nycourts.gov/attorneys/probono/baradmissionreqs.shtml. NYU Law is working with organizations to create pro bono opportunities specifically for LL.M. students to be undertaken during the school year. There are a number of interesting opportunities already available for the fall semester, working with public interest organizations, the courts, and the pro bono practices of international law firms. We encourage you to contact Amy Heading, LL.M. Pro Bono Manager at amy.heading@nyu.edu or 212-992-8999 to obtain further information.
