Tuesday, September 10, 5:00-6:00, Vanderbilt Hall 218
All Tax students are invited to attend the 18th Annual David R. Tillinghast Lecture on International Taxation. Francisco Gil Diaz, President of Telefonica-Mexico and Central America, and former Secretary of Finance of Mexico, will present a lecture on “How Mexico’s Federal Taxation Has Encroached on the Empowerment of Municipal and State Administrations.” The lecture will be very well attended by tax practitioners and NYU alumni, and will feature a brief reception immediately following the lecture. We encourage all of you to attend as your first step towards networking during your NYU career. You can RSVP to attend the lecture online here: http://nyulaw.imodules.com/Tillinghast
In addition, the Office of Career Services has organized a very small “mini mentoring” session immediately preceding the lecture. We will match 2-3 students each with an NYU graduate or other Tax practitioner who is attending the lecture for a chance to chat informally about tax careers. The mini-mentoring will take place from 5:00-6:00 prior to the lecture. Space is extremely limited. Please email laura.mowry@nyu.edu in order to reserve your space now.
