Good afternoon,

Neal Rosenthal will be our guest speaker for the Amy and Brian Schorr Family Luncheon Speaker Series on Monday, September 30th, 2013. Lunch will be served at 12:30 in Furman 210, 245 Sullivan Street, New York, NY, 10012. Mr. Rosenthal’s presentation will begin at 12:45. Please email leadershipprogram@nyu.edu to RSVP for this event.

Neal graduated with a B.A. from Rutgers University, 1967 and a J.D. Columbia University in 1970. He is a member of the Law Review at Columbia University, School of Law. Neal was a Summer Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in 1968; a Tax Associate at Stroock and Stroock and Lavan from 1970 to 1973 and completed an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University in 1974.

Neal practiced law from 1970 to 1977 when he left the practice of law to begin a career as a wine merchant … first as a retail wine merchant in New York City (Rosenthal Wine Merchant); shortly thereafter as an importer/distributor of fine European wines (Mad Rose Group / Rosenthal Wine Merchant Ltd.)

“Rosenthal Wine Merchant is dedicated to bringing to market distinctive wines that reflect our devotion to the concept of “terroir” … an objective that requires us to work directly with artisans, individuals that farm their vineyards, harvest their grapes and produce their wines in limited quantities following classical precepts … the fundamental process underlying the ‘farm to table’ concept.”

Neal was featured in “Mondovino”, a documentary on globalization and the wine business, which was released in 2004. Neal is also a published author who wrote, “Reflections of a Wine Merchant,” which was published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux in 2008.
