Film screening of “Herman’s House” (hermanshousethefilm.com) — a documentary about Herman Wallace, who has spent over 40 years in solitary confinement in Louisiana, and his unlikely 12-year friendship with an artist who helps him imagine and design his “dream home” from his 6-by-9-foot cell.
Followed by a panel discussion with Angad Bhalla (the film’s writer/director), Five Mualimmak (prison reform activist who spent five years in solitary confinement), and Jean Casella (co-founder and editor of solitarywatch.com).
