The Ford Foundation is seeking NYU volunteers to staff its fall symposium, held at Ford’s NYC headquarters, for the Ford Foundation Law School Public Interest Fellows. Volunteers – who would provide directions, lead participants to meeting rooms, etc. – are needed on Saturday, October 26. Students can select between one of two shifts or volunteer for both: Shift 1 – 7:45 AM – 12:45 PM (includes breakfast and lunch) and/or Shift 2 – 1:15 PM – 5:00 PM.
In addition to one’s volunteer responsibilities, volunteers will also have the opportunity to participate in some of the day’s sessions, including public interest panels and speakers. This experience will provide an opportunity to meet representatives from the Ford Foundation and its grantee organizations. This may be an especially good networking opportunity for 1L’s interested in applying for the fellowship this summer. If you have any questions about this volunteer opportunity and/or are interested in participating, please email Sarah Hudson-Plush (sarah.hudsonplush@nyu.edu) by Friday, October 4.
