For those students who were unable to attend the December 4 information session for the New York City Bar Association Diversity Fellowship Program, the session was videotaped and is available for viewing on the OCS website: http://www.law.nyu.edu/careerservices/resourcesandforms/videos.  The information session addressed the nature of the fellowship, the application process and deadlines, and the interviewing process.

Every year, the New York City Bar Association conducts an annual Diversity Fellowship Program through which first year students from eleven area law schools are placed in participating New York area law firms, corporate law departments, and government as paid summer associates.  The program provides an outstanding opportunity to work in the private and public sectors following the 1L year.  The opportunity allows students to gain invaluable work experience, make important contacts, and in several instances, find an organization to which they would ultimately return upon graduation.  NYU School of Law students have historically done extremely well in securing fellowships through the program.

The application deadline is after the Winter Break on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 5:00 pm  Application packets are available in OCS and under the Resources Tab on CSM (https://law-nyu-csm.symplicity.com/students/). Below is a list of the 2013 participating employers:
