Description: The Bert W. Levit Essay Contest is conducted by the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability and the San Francisco law firm of Long & Levit LLP. The 2014 contest is administered and judged by a subcommittee designated by the ABA Standing Committee on Lawyers’ Professional Liability.
The 2014 Contest Essay Hypothetical involves questions about the expanding use of social media by attorneys and law firms and focuses on the legal, ethical and professionalism issues that can arise in those forums.
The contest is open to law students and young lawyers who will have enrolled as members of the American Bar Association no later than February 21, 2014.
Prize: $5,000 Cash and all expense paid trip to the Spring 2014 National Legal Malpractice Conference in Boston, MA, on April 30-May 2, 2014.

Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM CST on February 21, 2014. Mailed entries must be postmarked by February 21, 2014.
