All 1Ls who plan to engage in a private sector job search at any time during law school must attend a 1L small group job search workshop (10 students, 50 minutes) conducted by the Office of Career Services. This workshop is the first component of NYU Law’s Career Education Curriculum and is necessary in order to meet with a private sector counselor (in the OCS) or to participate in any private sector interview programs (1L Spring, or 2L Early Interview Week in August). These workshops accommodate up to 10 students and space/times are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. In preparation for the meeting, please be familiar with the contents of the Career Development Resources Handbook so that we can use the time efficiently. You must submit 1) your draft resume (in NYU format) and 2) 1L Intake Form (found in the Document Library, Resources Tab in CSM) to law.careers@nyu.edu at least 48 hours in advance of your group meeting. The group meetings take place in the Office of Career Services Conference Room. Cancellations must be made with 24 hours’ notice on CSM; in an emergency with less than 24 hours’ notice, please write to law.careers@nyu.edu.
