Applications for the Ford Foundation Post-Graduate Fellowship in Public Interest Law are due February 10, 2014. 3L students who are interested in applying for the Fellowship should reach out to potential sponsoring organizations and prepare their applications. A list of Ford grantee organizations that have expressed interest in participating as sponsoring organizations is available at this password-protected website: www.fordlawfellowships.org. Students may also reach out to Ford Foundation grantee organizations that are not on this list and inquire about their interest in sponsoring a Fellow.
This post-graduate fellowship opportunity funds one year of full-time work at a Ford Foundation grantee organizations beginning in fall 2014. Three NYU 3Ls will be selected for the Fellowship. The Fellowship carries a $45,000 stipend. The Ford Foundation will additionally reimburse up to $15,000 of the sponsoring organization’s costs for benefits. Fellows may join an organization in a staff attorney position, or develop a one-year project that supports the organization’s mission.
