There are a series of exciting opportunities coming up to learn more about and get prepared to apply for post-graduate fellowships, including a visit from Susan Butler Plum, the Director of the Skadden Foundation, on March 31st. We encourage all students interested in careers in direct services and impact litigation to apply to post-graduate fellowships. Doing so takes a lot of work and planning so we recommend that you get started in the spring of your 2L year.
- Sign up for a mandatory prep session with Lauren Burke: Any student interested in fellowships should schedule an appointment with PILC Practitioner-in-Residence and Skadden Fellow alum Lauren Burke. Students interested in meeting with Susan Butler Plum on March 31 must meet with Lauren first. Lauren has appointments available on March 14th, 21st, and 27th. - Attend the Post-Graduate Fellowships Information Session on 3/24: On Monday, March 24th at 12:30 in D ’Agostino Hall, Lipton Hall, PILC is hosting an information session on post-graduate fellowships with representatives from various organizational and project-based fellowship programs. The session is a chance to learn more about graduates gain from fellowships and how to apply.
- Sign up for a meeting with Susan Butler Plum on 3/31: On Monday, March 31st, the Director of the Skadden Foundation, Susan Butler Plum, will visit NYU Law to meet with students. The Skadden Fellowship is an incredible opportunity to pursue the public interest position of your dreams and become a part of a prestigious and highly connected network of practitioners. The meetings on March 31 are a critical opportunity to introduce yourself and your possible project idea to Susan Butler Plum. Sign up for a 15-minute meeting here. - Attend the Skadden Fellowship Information Session on 3/31: On March 31st at 12:30 in Furman Hall, room 216, Susan Butler Plum will also provide a presentation on the Skadden Fellowship. We encourage everyone interested in the Skadden Fellowship, including 1Ls, to attend this event.
