Mar. 31: Skadden Fellowship Information Session

Apr. 2: Planning for your 2L Year

Third-year students will provide advice about the rich array of choice NYU offers to second-year students and how to choose among them. Topics include: clinics, classes, journals, internships, and planning ahead to the 2L summer job search. Pizza will be served!

Apr. 4: Should You Do EIW if You Want to Work in Public Interest?

Learn to maximize the 2L summer for the post-graduate public interest search, for either work in non-profits or government, and learn about opportunities at Early Interview Week (EIW) for public interest students. LRAP and OCI will also be discussed.

Every Friday recent alumni in the public interest come back to talk with students about their law school choices, how they found their jobs and what they actually do day to day. Featuring alums from all walks of public interest life as well as wine and snacks, it’s your chance to get a “real world” perspective on being a lawyer and make valuable connections and find a community at NYU! RSVP on Symplicity under “Events.”

Apr. 7: Terrific Government Careers and How to Have Them

Representatives from the Department of Justice and other federal and state agencies will provide information on summer and post-graduate opportunities.  Anyone interested in a government career, either right out of law school or in the future, should attend. 1L attendance at this event fulfills the Career Education requirement to participate in EIW.
