PILC is currently accepting nominations for our Public Interest Graduation Awards:
- Eric Dean Bender Prize: For a third-year JD student who has demonstrated a working commitment to a public service-oriented cause or project outside of and separate from any Law School or Admission requirement
- Public Interest Prize for LLMs: for an LLM student who has demonstrated a clear commitment to a public service-oriented cause or project outside of and separate from any Law School or Admission requirement
- Hy Frankel Award in Social Welfare: For a third-year JD or LLM who has demonstrated commitment to practice in a public interest setting
Please consider nominating graduating fellow classmates, members of your student organizations, or yourself, by sending a nomination statement by 5pm Friday, March 28th to John Lee, PILC Administrative Assistant at leej@exchange.law.nyu.edu (please include ‘Graduation Award: [name of prize] in the subject line). Your nomination statement should include your name and your nominee’s name and discuss the nominee’s commitment to the public interest (including examples of activities and/or organizations at or outside of NYU School of Law with which the nominee is or has been involved). For self-nominations, please also include your resume.
